Diamond M Arabians News...

April 22, 2008

We just returned from the 2008 Arabian Breeders World Cup. The second Las Vegas show held on April 17th to the 20th, promised to be even better than last year, with a 20% increase in entries.

The quality of the horses was amazing with many top Champions from around the world competing. Visitors poured in from many countries, with large contingents from Australia and the UK, proving that this is going to be a real World Event hopefully for many years to come.

Once again the Las Vegas Show committee pulled off an incredible show and I think that many there will surely come again next year, and even more as the word spreads. In my opinion it's going to become the very best US show with a higher prestige than even Nationals and I believe eventually Scottsdale; not in numbers, but because of having International judges and a fairer scoring system. Viva Las Vegas!

Spring is in the air....we had a very warm winter this year but we are looking forward a very exciting spring and summer. We just return from two weeks in Scottsdale where we attended the show. The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is a horse show with over 50 years of history and was one of the largest and best yet. Scottsdale is a show that you just can't forget. Great friends, beautiful horses, and most importantly, memories that will last a lifetime! The show ended with MS Magnum Max winning two Top Ten in the Arabian Stallion Breeding AOTH and Open. It couldn't have been a better ending! Attending the Scottsdale show it was incredible - I am so blessed to share my life with the Arabian horse and to have been able to meet so many incredible friends. To everyone, I say thank you for making my involvement with Arabian horses so enjoyable! If you have never had the opportunity to visit the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, I highly recommend you pencil it in on your calendar for February 2009!

What a summer we have had!! Since we last updated our News section we have been very busy with many projects and some very exciting things happening at Diamond M Arabians. Since our last March News we have purchased incredible handsome stallion. John and I were captivated by the young stallion MS Magnum Max, who was bred by Mystic Sands Arabians. Excellent conformation, beauty, type, size and refinement are qualities immediately recognizable in this fime stallion. His intelligence, willingness, and playful yet loving personality will capture your heart! We invite your inquires for breeding information and look forward to a long, exciting future with Max!

Wow time sure does seem to fly, in one of our last News update we talked about the show season ending, now few months later we talk about the new season beginning! Jyullya DMA and Amirah DMA will be in training at Genesis Training Center and will be shown at Region 6 Championship show in Brookings, South Dakota. Bey Klassic V started his conditioning program and he looks beautiful! He will be starting his show season with his first class "A" show in Billings.

We are now gearing up for the inaugural Arabian Breeders World Cup to be held in Las Vegas on April 19-22. This is a very important show for the future of the Arabian horse market here in the United States, and we are looking forward to this spectacular event.

We are preparing for a great summer!

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful mare, Blossom Belle V. We will always remember the joy she brought to our lives. She will be sorely missed.

December 26, 2006

2006 was another great year and a very successful show season. John showed for the first time to victory in halter our beautiful mare Blossom Belle V winning also the Most Classic Head. Our stallion, Bey Klassic V, did very well at numerous shows and he is maturing beautifully. Our yearling filly, Amirah DMA, is developing nicely: a striking grey filly with lots of presence and charisma.

We are looking forward another busy and exciting show season in 2007.

December 15, 2006

Meet the latest addition to our family....his name is Biscuit. As you can see, he loves to dress up as Santa Claus!

Merry Christmas from all of us at

Spring is in the air and preparation for this year show season is in progress. Amirah DMA is now in training with Pete Rasmussen of Fire Steed Arabian Farm. Pete is very excited for this young filly's future and we are as well. She is looking so beautiful, what an exciting yearling sweepstake contender she is going to be. Bey Klassic V is also in training and preparing for the show ring in the Arabian Breeding Stallion classes. Amirah and Bey Klassic V will be shown at Region V Championship this summer in Washington. Jyullya DMA, Blossom Belle V and GC Ariel are starting their conditioning and halter training. We are hoping to show them at annual MAHA Show in Billings and at the Wyoming Arabian Horse Show in Douglas, WY. It's going to be a very busy and exciting summer!

February 28, 2006

We have been extremely busy since the Thanksgiving weekend preparing for the winter months. We finally now could take some time off to attend the Scottsdale show. We spent two wonderful weeks and enjoyed viewing the exceptional Arabian horses from around the world.

June 5, 2005

We have a new addition to our family, her name is June-Bug. She is a 3 years old back and white Border Collie. She is pictured on the right in one of her typical pose…just before running together with our other two herding dogs, Nakai and Lakota.

May 28, 2005

Start of show season at Diamond M Arabians. The MAHA is the first show of the summer.

Jyullya DMA is maturing beautifully: a refined, elegant, striking bay filly, she placed first in the Arabian Mare Breeding Two Year Old and Younger - Open and Amateur classes. Jyullya is beautifully bred and is at the very beginning of what is sure to be an illustrious show career.

Bey Klassic V was shown as a yearling and as a two year old to champion and reserve champion placing at numerous Class A shows and Region VI Championship. This year he has matured into an even more handsome young stallion, exhibiting the refinement and elegant qualities of his parents and grandparents. He's also a big show-off, which gives him and extreme edge in the showring.

Bey Klassic V is very handsome, with good length and shape of neck, superb topline, is well balanced and moves well on correct legs. His charismatic personality gave him the competitive edge and two blue ribbons and two championships in the three-year-and-older stallion competition at the MAHA show.

A good start to this summer show season!

At 12:27 AM GC Ariel foaled a beautiful gray filly by *RSD Dark Victory.

May 4, 2005

We are anxiously awaiting this year foal out of our Egyptian related mare GC Ariel and sired by *RSD Dark Victory. This is Ariel's first foal so we are pretty excited to see what she can produce for us.

This past Scottsdale show was our first time showing at Scottsdale and what a great show we had. Thank you to Gary McDonald for training and preparing our filly, Jyullya DMA. She was Top Ten AOTH Yearling Filly with Mariagrazia Garofalo.

Thank you for visiting our Web site, we look forward to hearing from you.

April 17, 2004 - Mares are a Blessing from Heaven

At 11:30 PM Blossom Belle V foaled a beautiful filly by *Jullyen El Jamaal.

Our mares are each precious and hold a special place within our hearts. Each morning when the door is open I can recognize each of their delighted whinnies. I say "Good morning girls!" and I am again answered with eager neighs. They show so much gratitude for what we give them. And I too am pleased and feel comforted when alas I hear them happily munching their oats and hay. Going out to play is their next big event. The barn fills with anxious whinnies and stomping feet until you open the door with a halter in hand. To hear and watch them romp around the huge pastures, flipping their heads, bucking high and kicking out with wonderful excitement is so glorious to behold. This is the horse paradise, every horse is treated in royalty. When the sun begins to come down and the pastures are caressed in a soft sunlight, our mares begin to make their journey to the gate. We greet each one of them with delicious treats and a halter and lead in hand whenever they are ready to come in. They are truly ladies, each behaving very well. Again, the sound of them happily eating brings a smile to my face, and I know I can sleep well tonight.

Now if having just the mares is special, imagine when miracles are made by them and they possess the same qualities! To witness the love and bond between mother and foal is priceless above all other experiences. I love to see them nicker to each other and create a bonded relationship. And when mamma stands to lick her new born baby I get lost in thoughts of what she is thinking. Then as I look and smile at the foal while it is getting frustrated to find 'the faucet', images of the future start running through my mind. My thoughts wander to the many days they have to romp in the sunshine, then I ponder possibilities of each stage of its youth and even on into the future show ring. As I see what an awesome new creature stands proudly before me, I get eager with excitement and I have a hard time waiting for what the future holds. So, until then, it is the mother job to nurture and teach this young horse so it will be well behaved and know how to use that arabian blood and characteristics to reach its full potential. Our beautiful Blossom Belle V loves her babies and especially enjoys showing them off to let the world see what a great and marvelous treasure she have created.

There is nothing more treasured to us than an arabian mare. Her eyes that see your soul. Her lips that tickle your ears. Her tail carried high and proud. When you place your hand on her you feel a connection to her somehow. Her neck arched as a swan gliding over the water. Soft and gentle is her touch. She floats along the ground like an angle with wings. When she quietly stands and breathes very softly, I know that she understands all of my thoughts, sad and joyful. And she is dedicated to please us and to show us every day she is special. Truly, mares are a blessing from heaven.

March 6, 2004

GC Ariel arrived safely at Orrion Farms after a 12 hours trip. She settled in the new facility near the main barn.

While there we had the chance to attend one of Orrion Farms horse presentations and to see again the beautiful *RSD Dark Victory. He certainly knows how to put up a show! He has a distinct way of puffing up, snorting, rearing, trotting, tossing its head, and looking to the audience for applause.

FEBRUARY 10, 2004

Things on the farm have been pretty quite as they normally are in the winter time. Blossom Belle V's belly is growing bigger every day with the promise of new life. We can hardly wait for this year foal to arrive!

GC Ariel is enjoying her time out in the pasture and is getting ready for breeding this spring. GC Ariel will be bred to the incredibly beautiful *RSD Dark Victory who needs no introduction at all. We fell in love with *RSD Dark Victory last year and then after seeing him presented at Orrion Farms Horse presentation we just knew he was the one for Ariel. We had the chance to see him in person while we were attending a wonderful Christmas party hosted by Harold and Dolly Orr of Orrion Farms. We had a great time!

At the beginning of March we'll be bringing Ariel to Orrion Farms for breeding.

Bey Klassic V has been in training with Gary McDonald since early December. Gary says he's doing great and he will be ready to show the last weekend of March in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We will be able to take another trip to Scottsdale to visit with Gary and Holly and spend some time with Bey. We'll be also visiting our long time friends Tom and Magda who live in Scottsdale. Then we'll be off to Albuquerque for the show.

Our little girl Denali, a year old Siberian Husky is getting well. About two months ago, she got into a fight with a coyote and she was badly hurt. She's doing much better now and hopefully she learned not to run away anymore.
