BLOSSOM BELLE V (Desperado V x Balakarta V)
(March 1997 - January 2007)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful grey mare, Blossom Belle V, at the age of 9 due to colic.
Blossom was an exceptionally beautiful mare, noble to the extreme, gentle to all, and a shining spirit.
It's been such an honor and blessing to have had her in our barn and in our lives. Last Thursday, she said that she was ready to go, we stroked her head, told her that we loved her as did everyone who she touched, and she peacefully slipped away.
The joy of knowing her, of sharing her muzzle, of having her put her head on a shoulder, or just watching her grace and nobility as she grazed in the green fields, and of course, her beautiful legacy reflected in her foals, are the priceless gifts which have enriched all that have been in her presence. She was a once-in-a-lifetime-mare.
Blossom is buried in a special place on the farm, near the branches of a juniper tree. She will be looking over the pastures and the mountains.
Blossom Belle V played a large part in the lives of those she touched and will be sorely missed.

Blossom Belle V (by sire of U.S. National Champions Desperado V x Balakarta V by *Gokart), 1997 steel grey mare. Blossom Belle V has a beautiful Desperado head. Blossom Belle V is the foundation mare in our breeding program with her pure Polish dam and Desperado V. Her first foal, Bey Klassic V, exceeded our expectations. Blossom Belle V was bred to *Jullyen El Jamaal and foaled an exceptionally beautiful filly on April 17, 2004. *Jullyen El Jamaal as a nine year old stallion is the sire of many Champion, Reserve Champion and Top Ten show winners throughout the United States and Canada.
SIRE: Blossom Belle V's sire line is four generations strong of Varian breeding. Desperado V have been Sire of Significance. Huckleberry Bey++ and Bay-El-Bey++ have been at the top of the leading sire lists since their offspring have been old enough to compete in the show ring. Blossom Belle V's sire, Desperado V is well known for his exotic head, as well as his ability to sire National Champions in both Halter and Performance. Desperado V has been named America's leading sire in the Arabian stud books for five consecutive years.
DAM: Blossom Belle V's dam, Balakarta V, is a beautiful straight Polish mare and the daughter of Balalinka, dam of Barbary+++ and 31/32 *Bask++ blood and a premiere Varian Arabians broodmare. Blossom Belle V is also great grand daughter of both *Bask and *Bachantka, with a tail female line containing the legendary Balalajka, dam of *Bask++, Bandola and *Bachanka.
