Horse owners understand that the foundation of any good horse feeding program is the forage. They know that a horse has an absolute requirement for roughage so that its digestive tract will function normally. Absence of forage in a horse's diet can lead to digestive disorders. Forages contribute energy, protein, minerals and vitamins at various levels depending on the forage specie and quality.

Easy-to-handle 65-70 lb. bales are an ideal horse feed, with ample protein, calcium, phosphorus and potassium. Along with traditional all-hay products, we offer an 60% alfalfa /40% grass mix, to supply protein and energy for performance and show horses.

Alfalfa is an excellent source of protein and carotene (Vitamin A); many horsemen rely on alfalfa as the key component in their feeding plan to increase stamina for performance.
